Building certification to commercial and residential buildings and extensions

Q-Cert Pty Ltd provides a service to help you achieve your building requirements in residential, commercial or industrial buildings. Firstly contact us by phone or email and one of our qualified staff will take your details and assess your building requirements. A building surveyor will then contact you to explain the building certification process and give you a fee proposal for your building approval.

Once all the building plans and information is received by Q-Cert Pty Ltd, we will complete all the development codes and local town planning requirements. After this has been assessed, the building development approval will be lodged with the local council and the building permit will be issued and building work can commence. Once the building construction has commenced, Q-Cert will carry out the mandatory inspections being footing, structural steel, concrete slab, structural framework and the final sign-off inspection. At the completion of all the inspections, compliance certificates are collected including:

• Survey set out or site declaration
• Glazing certificate to Australian Standard
• Termite protection certificates
• Pre-fabrication frame/trusses
• Wet area seal certificate
• Structural inspection from registered engineer, form 16 footing/slab/frame if applicable)
• Smoke alarm certificate
• Energy efficiency certificate declaration

When all the required certificates are collected, the final inspection Form 21 and the certificates will be sent to the local council for archiving.
